Artist Bio

I work as a freelance artist in Gorham, Maine. I graduated in 2021 from the University of Southern Maine with an undergraduate degree in Studio Art (concentrating in Painting/Drawing, Ceramics and Digital Art & Photography) and a minor in Art History.

I find myself drawn to the beauty of capturing personality through portraiture. I started my artistic journey by capturing the complexity of human psychology. There is so much to uncover in the process of painting the likenesses of individuals. I also find interest in capturing the majesty of nature and the freedom found in open spaces.

I value the tactility of paint and I strive to preserve that physicality. I want people to see my hand throughout my work – to be able to trace not just my brushstrokes, but my thought process as well.

In tandem with painting, I find value in the process of photography and the impact that it can have on creating paintings. The act of storytelling is prevalent in all the forms of art that I make.
